Thermal stone massage is available and offers a beautiful relaxing treatment which is soothing for tight muscles and difficult to stay awake through.

Why do we have muscle pain? Muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted and tense or immobile.

How can we help muscle pain? Massage provides a healing treatment that can be given using gentle, strong, deep or shallow pressure.

Why does it work? Massage holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort as far as possible back to the original cause, healing both the cause of the disorder as well as the symptoms. Massage can support and speep up the body's own healing mechanisms by using passive stretches, joint mobilisation and pressure along the muscles. I believe regular remedial massage is beneficial for a number of reasons including:

  • the stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed;
  • the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort; and
  • the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility.

An improvement to the health of the cells, the repairing of tissues, and the easing of stiffness and tension can also be experienced through therapeutic relaxation. Massage can improve stress and general coping as well as reducing blood pressure and improving immune function and digestive health. Massage can speed injury healing time, increase circulation, metabolism and reduce the need for pain relief and medication.
